Nodes — the engine runs on YOUR account
The flagship, and the reason this ecosystem can look you in the eye: a professional trading engine working your own account through a trade-only key that can never touch withdrawals. Automation without surrender.
1The dirty secret of trading services
Every trading service you’ve ever seen — funds, managed accounts, “send us your crypto and we’ll grow it” schemes — runs on the same demand: give us your money first. And the graveyard of this industry is full of people who did. Exchanges that vanished. Managers who left. Platforms that froze withdrawals the week things got interesting. The strategy was never the risk. The custody was.
So here’s the question that should decide where your capital lives: can this service run without ever holding my money? Almost none can. Ours can. That’s the whole product.
2Nodes flips the whole model
You don’t send your money to the engine. The engine comes to your money — and your money never moves.
A COMPASS Node is a professional automated trading engine that runs on your own trading account. Your USDC sits in an account only you control — funded straight from the Arbitrum wallet you built in Guide 3. You grant the engine a special trade-only agent key, and from that moment it works your account around the clock: placing orders, managing positions, doing the tedious, precise, emotionless work that humans are famously terrible at.
You keep the master key. You see every trade as it happens. And the day you want out, you revoke the agent key and the engine is locked out — in seconds, without asking anyone’s permission.
3The agent key: trade-only, by design
This is the part to slow down on, because it’s the part that makes Nodes different from everything in section one. An agent key is a cryptographic permission with a hard boundary: it can trade, and it can do nothing else. It cannot withdraw. It cannot transfer. It cannot touch ownership of the account. Those powers live in your master key alone — and no subscription, no engine, no person on our side can change that.
Not a promise. A permission boundary enforced by the venue itself.
Why this beats “trust us”Every custody service in history has said “your funds are safe.” A trade-only key doesn’t say it — it PROVES it, structurally. The worst-case scenario of a Node is not “my money is gone.” It’s “I revoked a key.”
4What the engine does all day
The flagship Node runs a grid engine: it lays a disciplined ladder of buy and sell orders across a price range and works the market’s natural back-and-forth — buying lower, selling higher, over and over, with machine patience. No revenge trades. No panic exits at 3 a.m. No “one more position” after a bad day. Just the same cold process, every hour of every day, executed faster and more consistently than any human can.
That consistency is the actual product. Most people don’t lose in markets because they lack a strategy — they lose because they can’t execute one without emotions grabbing the wheel. A Node removes the wheel from your hands during the exact moments you’d most want to grab it.
5Your path to a running Node
- Have your wallet ready. Guide 3’s work: self-custody wallet, USDC on Arbitrum, gas ETH. Done means done.
- Open your own trading account. The Node runs on a professional-grade trading venue where the account is yours alone — the onboarding flow walks you through it.
- Fund it from your wallet. Your USDC goes from your wallet to your trading account. Ours never enters the story.
- Grant the agent key + subscribe. One guided grant, one subscription, and the engine goes to work.

6Pay the subscription in COMPASS
You saw this coming: the Node subscription is exactly the kind of payment Guide 5 was about. 8The honest paragraph about risk
Read this twiceA Node removes CUSTODY risk and EMOTIONAL risk. It does not remove MARKET risk — nothing does, and no honest platform promises profits. Trading can lose money, automated trading included. Fund a Node with capital you can genuinely afford to put at risk, start at a size that lets you sleep, and scale only from results you’ve watched with your own eyes in your own account.
9Questions everyone asks
Can you take my money? Answer me straight.+
No — and not because we pinky-promise. The agent key you grant has no withdrawal power at the venue level. Moving funds requires your master key, which we never see, never hold, never ask for. If anyone claiming to be us EVER asks for your keys or a “deposit to our address,” it’s a scammer. Full stop.
What happens if I revoke the key mid-trade?+
The engine loses access immediately and can no longer manage anything. Any open positions become yours to manage or close manually — so the graceful exit is: let the engine wind down or close positions first, then revoke. But in an emergency, revoke first and sort it out after. It’s your account; both orders of operations work.
How much do I need to start?+
Current minimums and plans live on the Nodes page — they’re kept current there, not here. The better question is personal: start with an amount whose worst month wouldn’t change your life, and let the engine earn a bigger allocation with evidence.
What returns should I expect?+
We don’t quote you a number, and you should sprint away from anyone who does. Markets pay differently in different conditions — grids love back-and-forth movement and get tested in strong one-way trends. What you CAN expect: disciplined execution, total transparency in your own account, and honest accounting of what actually happened. Judge it on that.
Do I need to know how to trade?+
No — that’s the point. You need Guide 3 (a funded wallet) and the willingness to follow a guided setup once. The engine handles the part that takes years to learn and nerves of steel to execute.
Is this the same as giving a bot my exchange login?+
Categorically not. Sharing a login hands over EVERYTHING — including withdrawals. An agent key is a scoped, revocable, trade-only permission that the venue itself enforces. One is a leap of faith; the other is architecture.
What if the engine has a losing streak?+
Then you’ll see it, plainly, in your own account — no quarterly PDF, no creative accounting. You decide with full information: keep going, resize, or revoke. Compare that to the industry standard, where finding out the truth is the hard part.
Why a subscription instead of a cut of profits?+
Because a flat subscription can’t create creative math. Profit-share models invite inflated numbers and hidden marks; a subscription plus your-own-account transparency means the only performance report that matters is the one your own balance shows you.
